Melissa Etheridge sang the national anthem acapella, the starting lineups were announced without music, and the arena is filled only with the sounds of horns, the announcers, and whistles. It feels incredibly uncomfortable.

For now, fans are filling the time with chatter, but it is the Knicks and they are playing against the Warriors. The clear sound of roaring boos is inevitable.
