Bill Russell was given a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the NBA, and then he told the five hall of famers presenting him the award that he could kick all of their asses. This might be the best thing that has happened in 2017. He really said that!

Russell is, of course, a totally deserving figure for this award. He helped pioneer basketball and is an 11-time champion. They brought him on stage and expected him to say a couple words. Instead, he roasted them — roasted five hall of famers.
It would be an amazing thing to see any of those big men go after each other in their primes, and I sure wouldn’t want to be the one betting against Russell. That was a perfect moment.
