NBA schedule 2017-18: Full national TV schedule by team

The 2017-18 NBA schedule was just unveiled, so we now know which teams will be lucky enough to play on national TV often this year. (ESPN, ABC, or TNT — no NBATV here).

As expected, we’ll see a lot of the Warriors (31) and Cavaliers (27), but we’ll also see plenty of the Rockets (28 times) and Lonzo Ball’s Lakers (23 times). Below is the breakdown by team.

The 2016-17 NBA season didn’t quite live up to the lofty standards of the prior year. This time, the Warriors were able to defend a big lead in the NBA Finals to earn Stephen Curry his second championship ring. The Cavaliers are hoping some minor changes will be enough to get them back to the promised land, though a tumultuous offseason could blow up those plans. Cleveland made modest additions this summer, adding players like Jeff Green, Jose Calderon, and Derrick Rose to the fold.

The last piece could be especially important given one of 2017’s biggest headlines: Kyrie Irving wants out. Cleveland may have to trade their All-NBA point guard after he reportedly tired of sharing the spotlight with LeBron James. While the franchise will have no problem finding a suitor for its 25-year-old playmaker, getting a fair return will be difficult. Irving’s desire to ditch the Cavs could signal the rise of a new champion in the East. It also might make those 27 national TV appearances a mistake.
