Chiefs vs. Patriots: Kareem Hunt lost a fumble on his first NFL carry

New, comments

There’s a first time for everything.

The Chiefs are without running back Spencer Ware due to injury, so rookie Kareem Hunt got the start for Kansas City against New England.

On his very first carry, Hunt fumbled.

Hunt had 856 touches without losing a fumble at Toledo. He had one, but he recovered it.

It’s a tough way for the rookie to start his NFL career, but when you go up against a team like the Patriots, it seems fitting they’d be the first team to make him do that. Even if it was on his very first carry.

It added to an already bad start for the Chiefs, who let the Patriots go down the field in under three minutes on the very first drive of the season.
