Yes, this is a real thing.

The Golden State Warriors are the pettiest team in the NBA. And if you needed more proof, just look at the way they collectively responded to actor Josh Duhamel’s recent interview, where he defended her wife Fergie’s national anthem performance at the 2018 All-Star Game and said Draymond Green was “kind of a prick” for laughing at her.

Whoa, whoa. Let’s rewind

Remember when Fergie sang her version of the national anthem? And remember when the cameras caught Green laughing while she performed?

So does Duhamel, Fergie’s husband. You definitely remember him face from each of the five Transformers movies, and other TV series he’s starred in.

And in a Thursday interview with FS1’s Kristine Leahy, Duhamel called Green “a prick” for the way he carried himself during Fergie’s performance.

“The thing that made me upset was that she was taking a lot of really cruel comments. People were trolling,” he said. “I was pissed off at Draymond Green first of all. I think he owed her an apology. I think he was kind of a prick.

“Just because he knew the camera was on him and he snickered about it. I just think that if he would have been a real man, he would have at least called her and said, ‘Listen, I’m sorry that I caused all this. ... That’s what a real man would have done, in my opinion.”

Then the Warriors responded

And it wasn’t just Green, it was several players on the roster, including Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins, and Jordan Bell. They found a remix to Fergie’s national anthem and made a video dancing to the song in the locker room after beating the Knicks Friday night.

Just look at the comments:

Duhamel was also a good sport

Sometimes you’ve gotta know when to bow out of a fight. That’s what Duhamel did early Saturday morning when he responded on Twitter with a GIF of Klay Thompson and the hashtag #sorryfergie. He tried his best, but the Warriors did this one beautifully.

Duhamel said it best: Think twice before you call out the champs.
