The 5 strangest moments from the NBA’s All-Star Game intro in LA

I really have no clue what just happened.

The NBA always pulls out the biggest stops for All-Star Weekend, especially on game night. But 2018’s edition was different. Los Angeles featured maybe the most extravagant and extra performance we’ve ever seen, all leading up to our All-Star introductions.

Honestly, y’all, I had no clue what was going on here. So please, bear with me.

It all started with Kevin Hart walking on the stage and demanding an all-star jersey from some dude named “Coach.”

Then everything broke into song and dance

Like, what? We saw Jamie Foxx, Ludacris, Queen Latifah, and Adam Devine serenading Hart. Here’s Latifah and Devine rapping and singing at Hart.

Then there were some dancers, and they started flipping everywhere!

It was cool, but it didn’t make things less confusing for me.

Luda!

Ludacris hopped out on stage and started rapping to Hart. This might have saved everything for me. That’s when I tried to focus, because who doesn’t like Luda?

Then Kevin Hart decided he was too scared to shoot the ball.

SO WE WASTED ALL OF OUR TIME.

Can we finally get to intros?

Apparently. After Hart decided he wasn’t going to shoot a basketball, we finally got into player introductions. We saw John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins.

Poor Boog.

Ugh, John.

But at least we got some jokes out of it!

Even a flat Earth joke when Kyrie Irving was introduced!

And some digs on the new Cavs! Shoutout to LeBron James for putting up with this.

He pretty much roasted the entire All-Star pool, which is just fine by me. I’m always here for a good bit of fun. Here’s the rest of the intro if you want to keep chuckling.

Overall, this was a pretty weird intro, but fun I guess? I have no clue what happened, and I had to rewind my feed a few times. Maybe we shouldn’t do this again?

But whatever! Ludacris rapped! Queen Latifah did, too! That’s all that really matters.
