Jarrett Allen used his full wingspan to dunk all over Lauri Markkanen

I just hope he’s Ok.

Lauri Markkanen is not just a very good rookie — he’s a very good basketball player. He made 100 3-point shots faster than anyone in NBA history and has been a big part of the Chicago Bulls offense all season. And yet, none of that mattered to Jarrett Allen when he effectively ended Markkanen’s rookie season.

During Brooklyn’s home matchup against the Bulls on Monday night, Allen dunked all over Markkanen with full extension in the middle of the game. Just look.

If this were a dunk contest, we’d have to give Allen a Dennis Smith Jr. 50 instead of a Donovan Mitchell 50. Yes, there’s a difference.

Look at the extension on this thing, man. Allen got the full 7-foot wingspan all spread out to deliver the ball on top of Markkanen’s head.

You tried to take a charge, too, Lauri? Nah, man. Nah.

Markkanen is young, so we not gonna retire him after this dunk like we’ve done in the past. He still has a lot to learn. But at the same time? He gotta sit the rest of this season out. It’s only right.

We’re sorry, Bulls fans, but that’s the rule. Shoutout to Jarrett Allen for this incredible dunk.
