Louisville is renaming Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, further disassociating “Papa John” from the university in light of him using a racial slur while arguing that his complaints about NFL player protests weren’t racist.
It’s Cardinal Stadium now, which is a fine name for a stadium, but it can get better.

Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest Americans ever, hailed from Louisville and is buried there. His funeral procession through his hometown was lined with miles and miles of locals.

It’d mean missing out on corporate money, but lots of college stadiums go without that. And, aesthetically speaking, if you’ve already got an arena called the, quote, “KFC Yum! Center,” end quote, you need something actually appealing to balance it out.
Louisville fans do have plenty of other ideas as well, many of them involving superior pizza. But pizza can’t really compete here.
