Alex Caruso is doing his utmost to keep our love for him as strong as possible. The Bald Mamba insists on doing new and delightful things on the court, and his latest hit came Sunday when the Lakers hosted the Pistons.
Kyle Kuzma made it all possible with a steal on an inbounds pass, and then deferred to Caruso on the breakaway. From there, a headband-wearing Caruso led a convoy of Kuzma, Dwight Howard, and LeBron James to the basket with a vicious boom.
When AC goes up, they all go up

This was essentially the basketball version of the Mighty Ducks’ “flying V” from the Disney movies.
James posted an incredible photo of the moment on his Instagram. Caruso might want to get this one printed out and hung over the fireplace at his house.
It’s a perfect image. Kuzma is admiring the dunk, while Howard is in mid-mimic of the dunk, and James is sprinting as fast as he can towards the basket with his hands raised in celebration. It almost looked like he was doing one of his signature chase down blocks in real time, except nothing was going to stop the CaruShow.
To top it all off, it’s great that the Lakers were wearing their Sunday whites. This play, and the accompanying photo were and are very angelic.
When people say the James and Anthony Davis Lakers are bringing back Showtime, be sure to mention Caruso’s name, too.
I’m only kind of kidding.
