The Bulldogs didn't really beat anybody impressive -- their best wins were a pair against Ole Miss, a team that straddled the bubble as closely as a team could straddle it -- and didn't hold serve against the SEC's dregs -- they lost to Auburn and twice to South Carolina -- but they won enough games to get to the tournament and to get Mark Fox a contract extension.

Style of play: Dawgs playing ruff

Georgia has several players who specialize in getting opponents to foul them, and the Bulldogs have the nations' 7th-best FT Rate. Guards Charles Mann and J.J. Frazier slash well enough that they demand attention, and Marcus Thornton is just so powerful that he sometimes can't be denied without fouls. With decent shotblockers and lengthy wings, the Dawgs have the 28th-best defensive efficiency in the country.

Key player: This Marcus Thornton

Not the Marcus Thornton that's in the NBA, and not the one who almost led William and Mary to their first-ever NCAA Tournament. This one is a 6'8, 230-pound big man, and we imagine an alarming amount of those 230 pounds is muscle. The ATLien leads the Bulldogs with 12.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
