The future is exciting for the Tigers -- they landed two top 20 recruits in this year's class No. 1 2015 prospect Ben Simmons -- but things aren't so bad right now. You can question Jones' in-game coaching ability -- he does do things funnily sometimes -- but you can't question how he's turned around LSU, which is now headed to its first tournament in his three-year tenure. With no seniors in the rotation, imagine this talented bunch with some 5-star studs next year.

Style of play:

Very few college basketball teams have two big men with NBA-quality athleticism at the power forward and center positions, and LSU takes advantage of it. Both guys can fly up the court and finish, so the Tigers try to run and get the ball to them on the break, playing at the 11th-fastest tempo in hoops. Maybe opponents can handle one, but both guys are liable to get a double-double in any game.

Key player: Hey Mickey you're so fine

Sophomore Jordan Mickey is just 6'7, but his hulking wingspan, great timing, and most importantly, tremendous athleticism make him the top per game shotblocker in Division 1, swatting 3.7 shots per game. He nearly averages a double-double to go along with that -- 16 points and 9.9 boards per game. The sophomore from Dallas is raw, but with his physical talent, that's OK.
