Will the Timberwolves ever love me back?
If you’re a Timberwolves fan like me, the world is not kind. Despite rostering several superstars, the Timberwolves have been in the NBA’s basement for the last 15 years. Will this year be any different? Will the Timberwolves finally stop punishing me as a fan?

And now they've lost six straight.

The Timberwolves are 3-5 since the last update and are currently third in the Northwest standings. The team stats aren't particularly impressive (25th in field goal percentage, 27th in three-point percentage) but Andrew Wiggins is averaging career highs in almost every major statistic. Does that make me happy? You bethca.

Wiggins has averaged more than 30 points over the last five games (including a 40-point game against Golden State) and Towns has averaged 12.4 rebounds in the same span. The Timberwolves are 7-4 at the current mark and all signs are pointing in a positive direction. If the team can keep up this production through the rest of the season, I'll be very happy. But it's still way too early in a long season, and the winters in Minnesota are unforgiving, so I'm not quite buying into them just yet. Let's revisit next week after the Timberwolves play two straight against the division leading Utah Jazz.

C'mon now, season hasn't even started yet. Don't do this to me already.

KAT scored 33 points on 65% from the field, including 4-for-8 from three, in a preseason win against the Pacers. Meanwhile, Wiggins and Teague shot 7-for-30 combined. It may only be the preseason, but it sure feels like where Minnesota left off last season. The Timberwolves open the regular season in Brooklyn next Wednesday. I live in Brooklyn, but despite the convenience of going to see my Timberwolves, I'm not sure I'm ready to invest in the live-person experience yet. It might be better to watch this game on TV.
