The Villanova Wildcats defeated No. 23 Iowa 88-83 in overtime to complete their shocking tournament run in the Battle 4 Altantis. Ryan Aricidiacono hit another huge three-point shot with 49 seconds left to force overtime, and the Wildcats were able to finish the job in the final five minutes.
James Bell scored a team-high 20 points, going 4-of-9 from beyond the arc for Villanova. One day after upsetting the No. 2 ranked Jayhawks, the Wildcats completed a comeback from being down by as many as 15 points in the second half.
Roy Devyn Marble had a huge game for the Hawkeyes, scoring a game-high 24 points. He completed huge plays in the final minutes of the second half as well as overtime, but his late-game turnover with his team down three in overtime was a critical mistake.
Devyn Marble made one of his two free-throws at the end of the second half to tie the game at 72 and ultimately force overtime, but Iowa couldn't close out the game despite his effort.
