Syracuse and Wichita State were the two winners on Saturday as the first half of the 2013 Elite Eight played out in the East and West regions.
The No. 4 Orange won their game, 55-39, in an ugly Big East battle against No. 3 Marquette. A few hours later, the No. 9 Shockers joined them in the Final Four with a surprising 70-66 win over No. 2 Ohio State. With the win, Wichita State became just the second nine seed to ever reach the Final Four.
Syracuse and Wichita State will find out who else will join them in Atlanta on Sunday when Florida meets Michigan and Louisville faces Duke. The Orange will get the Florida-Michigan winner and the Shockers will play either the Cardinals or Blue Devils.
The Final Four tips off next Saturday with two semifinal games before the National Championship Game on Monday, April 8.
