Arizona State is not a bad basketball team. The Sun Devils entered Thursday night at 15-12 overall and winners of their last three games. One problem: Utah looks like it might be a very good team at the moment and emphatically proved it in the first 20 minutes of the game:
NINE. 9. nine. That is not too good, ASU.
The Sun Devils had 10 turnovers. Utah had 10 blocks. Arizona State had nine points. Nine.
It wasn't always a beatdown. With six minutes remaining, Utah led, 23-9. Then Larry Krystkowiak's team ended the half on an 18-0 run to blow things open.
It got ugly:
Utah has blocked 9 of ASU's 22 FGAs (40.9%), which is pretty amazing. Pac-12 high this season is Oregon State's 13 vs Colorado. Utes up 28-9

And yeah, there's still another half of this left.
Update: Utah had to settle for merely doubling up ASU.
Final: Utah 83, Arizona State 41.
Bring on Arizona-Utah.
