After being cited for marijuana possession on Monday, Indiana announced that redshirt freshman Devin Davis has been dismissed from the Hoosiers' basketball team, along with emerging junior Hanner Mosquera-Perea, who was reportedly in the room with Davis, but not cited.

Davis is coming off a medical redshirt year after being hit by a car. He was cited for having less than 30 grams of marijuana and was not arrested. It is certainly an interesting decision from Indiana, considering that the Hoosiers suspended, but did not dismiss, two star players — Stanford Robinson and Troy Williams — after multiple failed drug tests last season.
This is the latest in a string of offseason incidents over the last year that has caused Indiana fans and former members of the program to call for changes in player behavior.
Before this incident, Indiana had no scholarships available for next season, but was still recruiting star big man Thon Maker. Now, it has a scholarship available.
