Arkansas basketball players Anton Beard, Jacorey Williams, and Dustin Thomas have been arrested and are facing forgery charges, according to CBS Sports' Gary Parrish. The charges are reportedly related to a counterfeit money operation. All three have been suspended indefinitely.
The three players were reportedly filmed using counterfeit money, trying to change fake $50 bills into $100s and buying tobacco products with a fake $20. All told, the three players are facing 12 different counts of forgery. Beard has been charged with the majority with nine counts, while Thomas and Williams are facing two and one, respectively.
Beard, a guard, averaged 5.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game for the Razorbacks last year in just under 19 minutes per game. Williams averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in just over 16 minutes per game at small forward, and Thomas did not play after transferring to Fayetteville from Colorado.
