Selection Sunday 2016: Start time, TV schedule and streaming for NCAA Tournament bracket announcement

Here's how to watch the brackets get revealed.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Selection Sunday is just one day away, and so we're only just more than 24 hours removed from filling out our brackets for the 2016 NCAA Tournament. That process comes to a head with the NCAA Basketball Championship Selection Show, aired live on Sunday, March 13, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Eastern.

This year's show will run two hours for the first time ever, expanding from a one-hour program that aired from 6 to 7 p.m. Eastern for more than a decade. And the Selection Sunday bracket reveal will also be aired on CBS and streamed live online for free by NCAA.com. Interested fans can watch on their phones and tablets via the March Madness Live app, available for free in the Apple and Google Play Stores.

Not only will the CBS panel of analysts reveal and break down the field of 68 teams during the show, they will speak with NCAA Tournament Selection Committee chairman and Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione to get a better sense of the reasoning behind which teams were included and which were snubbed.

If you want to get a leg up on all your friends when filling out your 2016 NCAA Tournament brackets, you're going to want to watch the brackets get revealed in real time.
