2016 'One Shining Moment' video: Villanova's thrilling national championship caps NCAA Tournament

New, comments

Relive March Madness in the best way anyone knows how.

After Villanova beat North Carolina in the national championship game of the NCAA Tournament, TBS aired this year's "One Shining Moment" video tribute to the NCAA Tournament. It was the 30th year of the iconic post-March Madness jingle, and it beautifully commemorated not just Villanova's title, but the entire (and entirely unpredictable) Big Dance.

The song here never changes, and the story never really does, either. "One Shining Moment" has always been a sort of boilerplate recognition of the NCAA Tournament, but it's such a pure, good song that it always finds a way to be new and brilliant when mixed with the unique ins and outs of a given NCAA Tournament.

The outrageous finish to this year's title game probably put some production strain on Turner's production people, so plaudits to them for managing to get this thing out to the world less than an hour after Kris Jenkins hit the shot heard 'round the world.

Now, just enjoy the tournament. Again.
