Kevin Stallings does not have a particularly good basketball team this season at Pitt, but he does have petty jokes. During the Panthers’ blowout loss to Louisville on Tuesday, the Pitt coach brought up the Cardinals’ place in the FBI’s wide-ranging corruption investigation.
Kevin Stallings to fans: “at least we didn’t pay our kids 100 thousand dollars”

Louisville fired head coach Rick Pitino and AD Tom Jurich after an FBI investigation revealed the program paired with Adidas to funnel $100K to five-star recruit Brian Bowen. David Padgett is now the Cardinals’ new coach and Bowen is looking to transfer.
Stallings is not having a great time during his second season at Pitt. The Panthers began this season losing four of their first five games, with defeats against Navy, Montana, Penn State and Oklahoma State. Pitt now falls to 8-7 overall, but they do not have a win against a team ranked in the top-100 on KenPom.
Stallings had this to say after the game:

Keep in mind that Stallings hasn’t always played nice himself.
