Darius Hamilton is one of the most highly sought-after recruits in the country. The defensive end plays for New Jersey's Don Bosco Prep. Son of former NFLer Keith Hamilton, Darius is 6'4" and 250 pounds. He shows great promise against the run, but can also rush the passer. Hamilton's skills against the run likely come from him playing a good bit of defensive tackle in high school. He's clearly been coached up, and uses his hands well for a prospect of his age. The four major recruiting services award Hamilton five stars as a rating.

Hamilton will announce on January 31st, choosing between Cal, Rutgers and Florida.

This weekend he'll officially visit the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Rutgers is seen as the favorite, here, and can offer an opportunity to stay close to home and play immediately. Rutgers will try to sew up Hamilton's recruitment this weekend.

On Monday, coaches from the Florida Gators visited with Hamilton, according to Gator Country. That's an important visit for the Gators to make, because Hamilton was unable to visit Florida with his mother because of her unavailability. Still, it's important to note that Hamilton never brought his mom to Gainesville.
