Kevin Olsen, one of the top quarterback recruits in the country for the class of 2013, has committed to the Miami Hurricanes over Auburn and Wisconsin, according to numerous sources including 247 sports. Olsen is the brother of former Miami tight end and current Carolina Panther Greg Olsen. Olsen stars for Wayne (NJ) Hills High School. He is a consensus four-star recruit, and also claims offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, Rutgers, South Carolina, Stanford and Wisconsin.

Olsen stands 6'3 and weighs in at just under 200 pounds. He had recently visited with the Miami coaching staff before the commitment.

The quarterback has a strong arm and a good release. He is able to make all of the throws accurately, and also displays some impressive athleticism for a pocket passer.

Olsen is the seventh commitment for the Miami Hurricanes for the class of 2013. This is a very meaningful commitment for the Hurricanes not only because of Olsen's talent, but because Miami is still waiting to hear from the NCAA on potentially crushing sanctions related to the Nevin Shapiro scandal.
