Four-star offensive tackle Andy Bauer switches from Ole Miss to Missouri

New, comments

The Tigers pick up a big commitment at the expense of the Rebels.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Four-star 2014 offensive tackle Andy Bauer has switched his commitment from Ole Miss to Missouri, he announced:

Bauer, who stands at 6'5" and weighs 304 pounds, is rated a four-star prospect by the 247sports composite rankings and was considered the second-best player in the Rebels' class. He is rated as the eighth-best offensive tackle in the country and the best player in the state of Missouri, so this is a huge get for Gary Pinkel and the Tigers.

Bauer originally committed to Ole Miss in March, and instantly becomes the top player in Missouri's class, as the only four-star commit they have. Prior to Bauer's commitment, the Tigers' class ranked last in the SEC, and the offensive tackle may be able to bump them over Mississippi State.
