Consensus four-star cornerback Arrion Springs is primed to make his college decision, and will announce his choice this weekend at Nike's The Opening in Portland.
As SB Nation's Wescott Eberts wrote in his scouting report of Springs, the 5'11, 190-pound player from San Antonio (Texas) Roosevelt brings a physicality rarely seen at the cornerback spot, a versatile player who could even be used as a safety. He's ranked as the No. 10 cornerback per 247's composite, with ESPN ranking him as high as No. 7.
Springs has offers from 24 schools, including home-state schools Texas, Baylor, and Texas Tech, although he has told SB Nation that he's interested in going out of the state for college. He waited for a long time on an offer from Oregon, and now that he has it, he could commit just a two-hour drive from the Eugene campus at The Opening. Miami was a leader at one point, and he also has offers from Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Clemson, Ole Miss, and a host of other nationally prominent schools.
