2014 safety Mattrell McGraw talks The Opening and recruiting

The highly sought-after safety from Louisiana talked to SB Nation's Bud Elliott at The Opening about the recruiting process, and what makes him so comfortable with the teams in his final three.

SB Nation Recruiting

Mattrell McGraw made the Memphis NFTC All-Camp Team after impressing coaches with his coverage skills. The River Ridge (La.) John Curtis star totaled 65 tackles and four interceptions as a junior and few in the country have seen such a meteoric recruiting rise this spring as the 5'10, 175-pound McGraw, who now has over three dozen offers including favorites such as Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida State, Ohio State, Oregon, UCLA and USC.

McGraw recently named a top three of Oregon, UCLA and Florida State, and he talks about the things about those programs that make him feel comfortable. He thinks he could announce his commitment as early as August, but it may go all the way down until Signing Day in February.
