Nyheim Hines talks Ohio State visit, recruitment at Columbus NFTC

Four-star athlete Nyheim Hines speaks about visiting Ohio State, Clemson and South Carolina's interest in him, and much more.

North Carolina product Nyheim Hines chatted with SB Nation's Miles Joseph on a windy afternoon following the 2014 Columbus edition of the Nike Football Training Camp.

Speaking about his time on the Buckeyes' central Ohio campus, Hines said "It was amazing. We took a tour of the school, saw the new indoor facility."

Hines mentioned the Buckeyes pitched utilizing him the way they did all-purpose back Dontre Wilson, who plays the Pivot, similar to the position Percy Harvin played in Urban Meyer's offense during his time in Florida.

Amongst the schools Hines has been talking to, besides the Buckeyes (whose co-defensive coordinator Chris Ash he name-checked as one of the coaches he has the closest relationship with), Hines said Notre Dame, his home-state Tar Heels, Clemson, South Carolina and Duke had all been in contact often lately.

In terms of what will factor into his making a decision, Hines emphasized how a team will leverage his skills as one of a number of things that will determine his final choice.

"The system. I have to like the system. The coaches and the people I deal with. I have to love the people I'll see every day," he said.

Though Hines acquiesced that the recruiting process was long, he pointed towards a September/October window for a possible commitment, though was also frank that he could ultimately decide to pull the trigger earlier.
