After years of upheaval at the position, Ole Miss' future at the quarterback position appears bright, thanks to Shea Patterson. The Rebel commit is a five-star recruit, rated as a top 10 overall prospect in the country, according to the 247 Composite index. Patterson is arguably the best quarterback prospect in the 2016 recruiting cycle.
Patterson is competing at the Elite 11 Finals at The Opening in Oregon this week, but SB Nation's Bud Elliott caught up with him back at the IMG 7-on-7 National Championships in Florida in June to discuss his recruitment, calling his own plays, what made Ole Miss so special to him and more.
Patterson stands 6'2 and weighs in at 195 pounds. The Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist star had offers from essentially every major program in the country, but chose to commit to Ole Miss back in February of 2015 and hasn't wavered on that since.
