The SB Nation College Football Recruiting Podcast returns with another episode. You can subscribe to the show on Apple Podcasts (iTunes) or Google Play Music.
The show rundown is as follows. A direct link to listen can be found here.
- Commits: Four-star safey Myles Mason commits to Mississippi State, Four-star defensive tackle Bobby Brown to TAMU, Four-star running back James Cook to Georgia, and Four-star center Emil Ekiyor to Alabama.
- Florida’s coaching change! Who could be a candidate? Who would FSU fans not want to see there?
- Other hot seat: Bret Bielema won, Kevin Sumlin got blown out, Butch Jones lost, and Mike Riley and Nebraska actually upset Purdue. Anyone I’m missing?
- Oklahoma has some serious recruiting momentum right now. The Sooners could flip Ayodele Adeoye from Texas, and Brendan Radley-Hiles decommitted from Nebraska. Oklahoma is also looking good for Reuben Unije, Merlin Robertson, and C.J. Smith. Its class currently 8th nationally and No. 2 in the Big 12. Texas and OU are doing exactly what we thought they would with these new coaches. Blue chips for those two: 22. Other 10 teams combined: 10.
- UGA’s recruiting class -- Cook commit, beating Florida. Cook will be used as a receiver and doesn’t have to be in his brother’s shadow. Will he compete? How will his effort be in a crowded backfield?
- Lines: Penn State (-8) at Michigan State, South Carolina at Georgia (-24.5), Wake at ND (-13.5), Clemson (-7) at NC State, Ohio State (-17.5) at Iowa, Iowa State at WVU (-2.5), Stanford at Wazzu (-2.5), Oklahoma at Oklahoma State (-3), Texas at TCU (-7), LSU at Alabama (-21.5), Virginia Tech at Miami (-1.5), Arizona at USC (-7)
