College football’s 2018 recruiting class has a couple of star defensive backs who are the sons of recent NFL stars. LSU lean Patrick Surtain Jr. is arguably the most hyped cornerback recruit of all time. Asante Samuel Jr. is committed to Florida State. And there’s Jaycee Horn, the four-star Alpharetta (Ga.) corner and son of Joe.
On Monday, Jaycee announced his commitment to South Carolina. He’d previously been committed to Tennessee, and this completes the flip:

Horn is the No. 21 corner in the class of 2018, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Joe Horn played 12 NFL seasons with the Chiefs, Saints, and Falcons, though he’s remembered mostly for his time in New Orleans. Horn had 58 touchdowns and nearly 9,000 receiving yards in his career. He made four Pro Bowls. He sits 188th on the league’s all-purpose yardage list, with 9,212.
Horn plays on defense, but he has hands that make it pretty clear he’s Joe’s son:
South Carolina has recruited well under Will Muschamp, and Horn’s just the latest blue-chip addition. The Gamecocks’ 2018 class is ranked No. 19 in the country and sixth in the SEC, on the verge of an Early Signing Period that begins Wednesday.
