Denard Robinson injury: Michigan QB should be ready for Minnesota

The Michigan Wolverines expect quarterback Denard Robinson to be active on Saturday against Minnesota.

According to Michigan head football coach Brady Hoke (via the school's Twitter), the Wolverines expect quarterback Denard Robinson to be back in action on Saturday. The Wolverines will take on Minnesota on Saturday, as they try to rebound from a 29-3 loss at Nebraska this past weekend.

Late in the second quarter, Robinson took a hit from Nebraska defensive tackle Baker Steinkuhler on a 7-yard run that put him out of the game. He officially is dealing with a nerve injury in his right elbow.

In his absence, Michigan couldn't generate much offense. With the losing effort, the Wolverines gave up first place in the Big Ten Legends Division, as they are now tied with Nebraska at 3-1 in the division, with the Cornhuskers holding the tiebreak due to Saturday's win.

Saturday's game against Minnesota is important, as a win for Michigan would give the Wolverines bowl eligibility.
