The No. 12 Ohio State Buckeyes prevailed in a shootout over the No. 21 Nebraska Cornhuskers, winning 63-38 on Saturday night at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. With the win, Ohio State is now 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the Big 10.

After a slow start saw them fall behind 17-7, Ohio State exploded for 28 points in the second quarter en route to a 35-24 halftime lead. Nebraska trimmed the score to 35-31 early in the third quarter before Ohio State scored 21 unanswered points to take control.

Ohio State dominated the game on the ground, piling up 368 yards rushing. Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller did much of the damage, racking up 185 yards and one score on 16 carries. Running back Carlos Hyde also went over 100 yards, finishing with 138 yards on 28 carries. Hyde also added four rushing scores on the night.

Nebraska's offense had some highlights of their own right, but three interceptions by quarterback Taylor Martinez helped doom the Cornhuskers. They fell to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big 10.

Box Score Hero: Miller finished with 312 total yards and accounted for two touchdowns, but Hyde's four scores make him the star of the day for Ohio State.

Rankings Ramifications: Ohio State entered the weekend ranked No. 12 in the AP Top 25. They will likely move up a couple of spots, as several teams ahead of them lost. Nebraska was ranked No. 21, and with their second loss, may fall out of the rankings. But several teams around the Cornhuskers lost, so there's a chance that they cling to a low ranking.

But Did They Cover?: Ohio State was a three-point favorite according to most services, so they covered. The over/under was 57.5, and this game went way over.
