With the passing of legendary Texas head coach Darrell Royal, here's a look at the helmet decal that they Longhorns will wear, starting today, and for the rest of the season. Below are also photos of their new midfield logo and the wishbone formation they opened Saturday's game in, in honor of Royal's trademark set.
Royal's initials have been added to the midfield logo as well.

The Longhorns then ran their first play from scrimmage out of the wishbone, the formation Royal helped make famous. The play, a throwback to quarterback David Ash, just happened to work for 47 yards, despite Mack Brown announcing the formation in advance days ago.
Horns in wishbone to start game. Throwback to Ash who hits Daniels for 47 yards. Pretty cool stuff. twitter.com/RickyDoyle/sta…
