Air Force will play in the Fort Worth, Texas bowl game for the fourth time in the past six seasons.

Chris Humphreys-US PRESSWIRE

The Air Force Falcons accepted a bid to play in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas, making them the third team of the year to go bowling. Air Force has to wait before learning who their opponent will be this year, but the other team will be from Conference USA. C-USA currently has three teams eligible for bowl play, but likely won't be able to fill all its spots.

The Armed Forces bowl kicks off on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 11:45 a.m. ET at renovated Amon G. Carter Stadium and will be televised on ESPN.

After beating the Hawaii Rainbows on Friday night, the Air Force Falcons moved their season record to 6-5, making coach Troy Calhoun's team bowl eligible for the sixth consecutive season.
