As part of a fundraising measure for a new football stadium, Baylor Bears fans are encouraged to purchase bricks on which they can put a personalized message. These bricks range in price from $175 to $1,250, with varying amounts of space for fans' messages.
This campaign does open the door for rival fans to potentially buy a brick for taunting purposes, but it's also likely that Baylor University officials will vet each submission to prevent that sort of thing.
The new on-campus facility is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2014 season. It is expected to have a capacity of 45,000 and allow for an expansion to 55,000 in the future, if need be. It will also include a number of luxury suites. The price tag for the new facility is $250 million.
Baylor finished the 2012 season 8-5, including a win in its bowl game over UCLA. The Bears are 25-14 over the last three seasons.
