Baylor-Oklahoma State hosting ESPN College GameDay

The Bears and Cowboys will play a de facto Big 12 championship game, and both could be ranked in the top 10.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

ESPN's College GameDay will broadcast live from Stillwater, Okla. Saturday morning, in anticipation of that night's de facto Big 12 Championship game between Oklahoma State and Baylor, Kirk Herbstreit more or less announced early Sunday morning:

No. 12 Oklahoma State (9-1, 6-1 Big 12) defeated Texas Saturday, while No. 5 Baylor (9-0, 6-0 Big 12) dispatched of Texas Tech.

A Baylor victory Saturday would give the Bears a two-game lead in the Big 12 standings with just two games left to play. Should Oklahoma State win, the Cowboys and Bears would be tied atop the Big 12, with the Cowboys holding the tiebreaker by virtue of the victory. Thus, a Fiesta Bowl bid could await the winner, with even higher stakes in play for Baylor.

Saturday's visit will be GameDay's fourth to Stillwater, and the first since ESPN's traveling road show came to town for the 2010 Bedlam matchup with Oklahoma. It is the first time GameDay has been present at a non-Bedlam Oklahoma State game.
