Week 13 college football final scores: Baylor and Oregon fall, Florida shocked

Week 13 certainly happened. We had an undefeated national title contender fall, a fringe national championship contender get blown out, and a former national power lose to an FCS school for the first-time ever, securing a losing season. Let's recap what happened around the country.

No. 1 Alabama 49, Chattanooga 0 | Full Recap

Alabama's final tuneup before the Iron Bowl went exactly as planned in a 49-0 win. The Mocs were light resistance at best for the top-ranked Tide, who is now aimed squarely at No. 6 Auburn.

No. 2 Florida State 80, Idaho 14 | Full Recap

Florida State racked up the most lopsided win in program history as the Seminoles obliterated a weak Idaho team. Jameis Winston threw for four scores in light work in the win.

No. 3 Ohio State 42, Indiana 14 | Full Recap

Braxton Miller and company wasted little time and effort putting this game out of reach early, shutting down Indiana's potent offense and coasting to the win. Carlos Hyde hit 1,000 yards on the year for the first time in his career.

No. 10 Oklahoma State 49, No. 4 Baylor 17 | Full Recap

The Cowboys defense held Baylor's high-powered offense 44 points below its season average and forced three fumbles. All that stands in the way of an Oklahoma State Big 12 title and Fiesta Bowl berth is a win in Norman next week. And millions of fans go to bed asking themselves, "That team lost to West Virginia?"

Arizona 42, No. 5 Oregon 16 | Full Recap

Um, holy cow, Arizona. The Wildcats incinerated an unsuspecting Oregon team on Senior Day, locking up a winning record in spectacular fashion. Kadeem Carey rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns on 48 carries (!!) in the win, and Rich Rodriguez is officially The Man down there in Tucson.

No. 7 Clemson 52, Citadel 6 | Full Recap

Tajh Boyd erupted for five first half touchdown passes and finished with 288 passing yards in Clemson's easy victory over the Citadel. Don't look now, but Clemson's 10-1 with its only loss coming against FSU. If it weren't for the Iron Bowl, Clemson's season-ending battle with No. 14 South Carolina might have qualified as the best game in the nation next week.

No. 8 Missouri 24, No. 24 Ole Miss 10 | Full Recap

A methodical, balanced performance by the Missouri offense -- 224 yards passing, 261 yards rushing -- and dominant performance by the Tiger defense gave the SEC East leaders a comfortable victory over the Rebels. Quarterback James Franklin made his return from an injury sustained against Georgia, completing 12/19 for 142 and an interception.

No. 9 Stanford 63, Cal 13 | Full Recap

Stanford eliminated any notion of letting USC beat it twice by beating the pants off California, 63-13. Explosive all-purpose player Ty Montgomery scored touchdowns on his first four touches of the game, and that's just about all you need to know about this one.

No. 11 South Carolina 70, Coastal Carolina 10

Coastal Carolina is good for an FCS team. South Carolina is good for an FBS team. The Gamecocks did basically whatever they wanted on both sides of the ball and sailed to an easy win. Up next: Clemson.

No. 22 LSU, No. 12 Texas A&M | Full Recap

Texas A&M's BCS bowl hopes and Johnny Manziel's Heisman hopes took gigantic shots as LSU throttled the Aggies in late afternoon action in Baton Rouge. LSU QB Zach Mettenberger outdueled Manziel in the win, throwing for 193 yards and two scores in just 20 passes.

No. 13 Michigan State 30, Northwestern 6 | Full Recap

Michigan State's defense put in another dominating performance, and the Spartans' passing game took another step forward as the Spartans coasted to a 30-6, division-clinching win.

No. 17 Arizona State 38, No. 14 UCLA 33 | Full Recap

The Sun Devils surged to a 35-13 halftime lead, then held on through a furious Bruins comeback. Arizona State took the Pac-12 South Division with the win, and would host the Pac-12 Championship Game against Stanford if it can beat Arizona next week in the Territorial Cup game. Todd Graham's coaching stock has never been higher. That's a dangerous thing.

No. 15 Fresno State 69, New Mexico 28

Derek Carr committed football arson on Saturday, throwing for 527 yards and seven scores on the Lobos as Fresno stayed undefeated in a walk. Are we sure New Mexico is an FBS team? Should it be?

No. 16 Northern Illinois 35, Toledo 17 (Wed.) | Full Recap

Toledo held a 10-7 lead at the half, but NIU QB Jordan Lynch was his regular irrepressible self down the stretch, rushing for three touchdowns in the second half and finishing with 363 total yards. NIU punched its ticket to the MAC Championship Game, and a second straight trip to a BCS bowl may be in the offing after that.

No. 18 UCF 41, Rutgers 17 (Thurs.) | Full Recap

Despite two special teams touchdowns for Rutgers, UCF and QB Blake Bortles were able to sail to a 41-17 victory. UCF inches closer to a BCS bowl berth with the win, and it's time to reconsider the Knights' ranking; they're clearly better than No. 18.

No. 19 Wisconsin 20, No. 25 Minnesota 7 | Full Recap

Wisconsin's defense was the star of the show this weekend, holding upstart Minnesota to 185 yards of total offense in the win. Wisconsin moves to 9-2 (6-1) on the year and keeps its slim BCS at-large hopes alive; beating a ranked team should help endear the Badgers to skeptical voters.

No. 20 Oklahoma 41, Kansas State 31 | Full Recap

Bob Stoops became the winningest coach in Oklahoma history by outpacing the Wildcats, 41-31. The Sooners rushed for 301 yards in the win, paced by Brennan Clay's 200-yard effort.

No. 21 Louisville 24, Memphis 17

An unusually tough game for Louisville ensued as Memphis came to town, and Teddy Bridgewater fought off a hurt back to finish with 220 yards passing in the win. The game wasn't quite as close as the score would indicate; Louisville took a 24-3 lead into the fourth quarter and Memphis didn't get the ball with a chance to tie until 37 seconds left, no timeouts and the ball at its 6-yard line. So, yeah.

No. 23 USC 47, Colorado 29 | Full Recap

The Trojans continued to play well under Ed Orgeron, jumping out to a 23-0 halftime lead over the Buffaloes. USC again used a well balanced attack with Javorius Allen leading the way on the ground, rushing for 145 yards and three touchdowns. USC is now 9-3 and will ride a five-game winning streak into their next game against UCLA.

The Hawkeyes locked up a winning season by rallying for a 24-21 victory over visiting Michigan, who slumps to 7-4 (3-4). Devin Gardner and the Wolverines mustered only 45 yards after halftime, and Gardner fumbled the ball away in Iowa territory on Michigan's final drive.

Harvard 34, Yale 7 | Full Recap

Sure, why not? The "Ol' Ivy Battle," as both schools call this rivalry (no they don't) (I just made that up), saw a one-sided Harvard victory. This is a devastating loss for Yale, whose students must take solace in the fact that they will rule the world with an iron fist one day.

Georgia Southern 26, Florida 20 | Full Recap

This was one of the two most shocking upsets of the day (nod ya head, Arizona) as FCS Georgia Southern marched into Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and led most of the way in the 26-20 victory. The loss pushes Florida to 4-7 on the season, out of bowl contention. Head coach Will Muschamp's seat just gets hotter and hotter.

Vanderbilt 14, Tennessee 10 | Full Recap

With 16 seconds remaining, Vandy backup quarterback Patton Robinette faked a jump pass, then ran outside the Tennessee defense for a touchdown to give the Commodores a four-point win in the annual rivalry game. The win gave Vanderbilt back-to-back wins over Tennessee for the first time since 1926.
