Nick Saban not leaving Alabama for Texas, says wife Terry

Mrs. Saban says Nick isn't leaving Tuscaloosa, but still feels her husband's work is under appreciated at times.

Nick Saban won't leave Alabama for the [presumably soon-to-be] open head coaching job at Texas, according to his wife, Terry. Mrs. Saban recently spoke with the Wall Street Journal, and while she isn't necessarily happy with the way her husband is always treated by the fan base, she says they are staying in Tuscaloosa.

Some reports said Terry Saban had been house hunting in Austin. Asked if the report was accurate, Terry Saban called them "rumors with absolutely no foundation."

"We're staying," she said. "We're not going anywhere."

Earlier this month, the never-dying Saban-to-Texas rumor caught some traction when his agent said the only job Saban would consider leaving Alabama for was to coach the Longhorns, citing unfair pressure put on him given all of his recent success. Saban quickly denied the rumors, saying he was "totally committed to the University of Alabama."

From the same WSJ interview:

"You come to a crossroads and the expectations get so great, people get spoiled by success and there gets to be a lack of appreciation," Terry Saban said in an interview last week. "We're kind of there now."

With three national titles in four years, anything less than a championship in Tuscaloosa will be viewed by many as a failure this season. Pressure comes with every job in college football, but nowhere more so than at Alabama.
