The Division II football playoff final is set: 13-1 Lenoir-Rhyne will take on 14-0 Northwest Missouri State for the championship on Dec. 21 in Florence, Ala.
Lenoir-Rhyne clinched its berth in the title game by winning decisively over West Chester on Saturday, 42-14. Josh Justice led the way with 175 rushing yards and three touchdowns for the Bears, who will make their first-ever appearance in the title game.
Northwest Missouri State earned its title game appearance by defeating Grand Valley State, 27-13, in the semifinals. Trevor Adams went 15-21 for 284 yards and two touchdowns, both going to Reuben Thomas. The defense held Grand Valley State to fewer than 300 total yards, and that was enough to lock things up for the Bearcats.
The Division II National Championship Game is set for Dec. 21 from Braly Municipal Stadium in Florence, Ala. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET, and the game can be seen nationally on ESPN2. You can see a full playoff bracket here, courtesy of NCAA.com.
