Update: Wow.
Boise State senior QB Joe Southwick sent home from Hawaii Bowl. Nick Patti reinstated to team after brief suspension.

Joe Southwick, the starting quarterback for Boise State, and redshirt freshman QB Nick Patti were suspended from Friday's practice for disciplinary reasons. Their statuses for playing in Tuesday's Hawaii Bowl against the Oregon State Beavers are unclear.
Southwick was having a big year for the Broncos before breaking his right ankle in late October. He missed a month and played sparingly in the team's final game of the regular season, though he was expected to start the bowl game. If he and Patti are not allowed to play against Oregon State, Grant Hedrick would be the only quarterback available. Hedrick played well during the six games Southwick missed, throwing for 1,443 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 68 percent of his passes.
Interim coach Bob Gregory met with the media following Friday's practice but did not go into what the future held for his two quarterbacks.

Southwick and Patti are suspended, but Gregory won't say for how long. Said they are suspended, "right now, until further notice."
