LSU's Les Miles, Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin, Stanford's David Shaw and Notre Dame's Brian Kelly will all take part in the NFL Network's draft coverage, according to draft producer Charlie Yook. Miles, Shaw, and Kelly are expected to be with the coverage team during the draft, while Sumlin will work predraft coverage.
Miles, Kelly and Sumlin have players that are expected to go early in the first round. Mocking the Draft's Matthew Fairburn has Texas A&M tackle Luke Joeckel first in his latest mock draft, Barkevious Mingo of LSU is projected to go at No. 7 to the Cardinals and the Irish's Manti Te'o could also go in the first. LSU has guys that could go late as well, including Michael Ford, who could be a late-round pick, according to LSU blog And the Valley Shook.
If press conferences are a good indication, then Miles should provide entertainment value to NFL Network. He's known for making odd comments and being highly personable, and the television cameras should be comfortable for him.
There isn't likely to be any grass on the set, so it's still not known what sort of nourishment NFL Network will provide Miles to sustain him during the coverage.
