2013 SEC championship odds: Alabama, South Carolina favored

Oddsmakers expect Alabama to win the SEC title in 2013, with South Carolina and Georgia its most likely opponents in the SEC Championship Game.

Sportsbook 5dimes has released odds for the 2013 SEC champion, creating a de facto list of how Vegas money expects teams to finish in the SEC's East and West divisions.

The information from Adam Kramer:

The obvious heavy favorite is Alabama, which pretty much everybody and their cousins expect to win the SEC. The defending national champions pay out just a little bit better than even money to win the championship, while people betting on any other team would receive several times the initial bet if it pays out.

It's a roughly even split over who is most likely to win the conference from the East Division, with South Carolina and Georgia barely separated and Florida a distant third. One of those three teams has represented the East in the SEC Championship Game every year since 2008, with either the Bulldogs or the Gators participating in 15 of 21 total games.

There's an enormous gap in the West Division, with Texas A&M paying out about eight times better than Alabama if the Aggies manage to win their first-ever SEC Championship. LSU isn't much behind, but is still well removed from the team that bested it in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game.
