So South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is suddenly questionable for the South Carolina Gamecocks' season opener against North Carolina, according to Steve Spurrier:
Spurrier: Clowney could miss first game if shoulder doesn't improve soon. Seems to sending message: "Get on practice field"
— Josh Kendall (@JoshatTheState) August 13, 2013
That's a far cry from the report on Clowney's shoulder from Saturday, when defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward said it was just a bruise and that he'd be fine. As Kendall alludes in his tweet, this is probably more about lighting a fire underneath a player who was probably enjoying a few days off from practice rather than a real live injury concern.
And now, a comprehensive list of things more likely to happen than Jadeveon Clowney missing the North Carolina game:
Literally everything. Have you seen him? He can't be hurt.
See you on Aug. 29, Jadeveon.
