Ole Miss at Texas A&M betting odds and prediction

Ole Miss looks for an encore of its win over Alabama this Saturday visiting Texas A&M.

The Ole Miss Rebels are 6-0 straight up and against the spread over their last six games after beating Alabama at home last Saturday. Mississippi faces its toughest road test to date this Saturday night, when it visits Texas A&M (9 p.m. ET, ESPN).

Texas A&M is a 3-point favorite at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Home field advantage could make all the difference and make the Aggies the pick in this intriguing matchup at -3 at home.

Through its first four games of the season, Ole Miss established itself as a strong football team with a 4-0 SU and ATS record. The Rebels outscored their opponents 156-34 over that stretch and looked great on both sides of the ball. But in passing the test against Alabama with a 23-17 win, Ole Miss jumped all the way up to No. 3 in the AP Top 25 poll and is now in the conversation for a Playoff spot. A win at Texas A&M would just continue to fuel the fire.

OddsShark Computer Prediction: Texas A&M 28, Ole Miss 21

Kenny Hill and the Texas A&M Aggies turned plenty of heads in getting out to a 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS start, including a 52-28 win on the road at South Carolina. But after narrowly escaping with a win against Arkansas in overtime the week before, Texas A&M was handed its first loss of the season on the road last week at Mississippi State. Texas A&M returns home this week where it is 5-0 SU and 3-2 ATS in its last five games.

Mississippi has struggled badly on the road against SEC opponents in recent seasons. The Rebels are just 2-16 SU and 6-12 ATS over their last 18 road games in the SEC including a current losing streak of 0-3 SU and ATS according to the OddsShark College Football Database.

This year's Ole Miss team may be good enough to break the road curse that has haunted this team for years. But while Bo Wallace was sharp and able to avoid mistakes at home, on the road in this hostile environment could make for a different story. Look for the Aggies to bounce back with a win and cover at -3.
