Amidst rumors that he could be interested in the open Miami job, Charlie Strong stated at a Wednesday press conference that he does not, in fact, have interest in that job.
"At the risk of ticking you off," someone asks Strong, what about Miami rumors? "It's all a rumor. We're here to build a program."

Does it bother Strong that Miami rumors won't go away? "It does. I have an unbelievable job here. ... I don't know where that comes from."

The press conference was likely called to help Texas in recruiting, as recruits could be less likely to commit to Texas if they're worried their coach won't stick around. Strong has struggled since arriving in Austin, and those struggles have increased this year, as the Longhorns sit at 4-6 and are unlikely to make a bowl game.
