Memphis football is 2-0 this season after easy wins over FCS Missouri State and Big 12 team Kansas. Next up: 1-1 MAC squad Bowling Green, a better team than Kansas. How much better? Let the Tigers' head coach tell you!
Memphis coach Justin Fuente on Week 3 game at Bowling Green: We're taking "a pretty significant step up in competition this week" #KUfball

Kansas is in a pretty dire situation under first-year head coach David Beatty. The Jayhawks opened the season with a loss to FCS South Dakota State after failing to literally just throw the ball on the ground, and it wasn't even an upset. Kansas has fewer scholarship players (just 62!) than FCS teams after the disastrous tenure of Charlie Weis, and it's going to be a long road back to acceptability for the Jayhawks.
Meanwhile, Bowling Green's quarterback is on pace to beat the FBS single-season passing record under innovative second-year coach Dino Babers, and also happened to humiliate Maryland into switching quarterbacks just three games into the season. The defeat drove a certain Terps alum who is certainly not the author of this article to complete madness.
But it's okay, Kansas. You may not win many games this year, but you'll still get exercise and fresh air.
