The Alabama Crimson Tide have opened as a one-point underdog at the Westgate Las Vegas sportsbook for their Oct. 3 game at Georgia. This is the first time that Alabama has been an underdog in 72 games, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy:
Georgia will open as 1-point favorite vs. Alabama says @LVSuperBook, ending Bama’s record streak of 72 consecutive games as favorite— Brett McMurphy (@McMurphyESPN) September 27, 2015
The Crimson Tide haven't been an underdog since the 2009 SEC Championship Game against Florida, a period of 2,128 days as a favorite. Over that period, Alabama has gone 62-10, only confirming its status as perpetual favorite.
Alabama-Georgia kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
