Clemson, Alabama and Oklahoma top way-too-early 2016 top 10 college football rankings

New, comment

The Tigers and Crimson Tide have what it takes to get back to the title game next year.

The 2015 college football season has only been over for one day, as Alabama took down Clemson in an instant class of a National Championship game, with a 45-40 win. However, it's never too early to look ahead to 2016, when ... drum roll ... Alabama and Clemson will likely be toward the top again.

College football loses a lot of good talent to the NFL, but there are a ton of stars back, including two of the three Heisman finalists — Clemson's Deshaun Watson and Stanford's Christian McCaffrey.

More top teams should be back, too. College Football Playoff participant Oklahoma looks like one of the top teams in the country with Baker Mayfield back, despite a tough schedule, while Florida State is more seasoned and should be ready to challenge Clemson. What about oft-injured Notre Dame? Or an Ohio State team that's losing just about everyone but can reload? Is this finally Tennessee's year?
