Lane Kiffin's having some fun this Playoff. Before the Tide's semifinal trouncing of Michigan State, Alabama's OC poked a little fun at himself for how few carries he gave Derrick Henry against Ohio State the previous year. Now he's got some more jokes at his own expense.
After beating the Spartans, Alabama and Kiffin will face Clemson in Glendale, Ariz., just a few miles from Phoenix. Hey, Lane, how's Phoenix?
Kiffin on Phoenix: "Last time I was here I got fired. Time before that was for the (USC) NCAA hearing. So, yeah, a lot of great memories."

In 2013, Kiffin's USC lost 62-41 at Arizona State, and he got fired at the airport. His hire also may have played a role in the level of NCAA sanctions levied against the Trojans.
But wait, back to the airport!
Lane Kiffin asked about his firing from USC "Were you actually fired on the tarmac?" Kiffin joked "I was a good 20 yards off the tarmac."

Good jokes, Lane. Good jokes.
