Ohio State vs. Wisconsin 2016 odds: Buckeyes face Week 7 test as big favorites at the Badgers

The Ohio State Buckeyes are double-digit betting favorites as they visit Wisconsin looking for a fifth straight win over the Badgers.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are 4-0 SU and ATS in their last four games against the Wisconsin Badgers. The Buckeyes hope to hand the Badgers another loss this Saturday night at Camp Randall Stadium.

Ohio State is a 10-point road favorite in Madison at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In the last meeting between these two teams, the Buckeyes won at home, 59-0.

The Buckeyes failed to cover the spread for the first time in their last seven games last Saturday against Indiana, winning 38-17 as a 28-point favorite. But it was yet another dominant win for Ohio State, bringing the team's record to 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS on the season with an incredible average margin of victory of 42.4 points per game. J.T. Barrett has passed for 15 touchdowns and rushed for four through the team's first five games.

Ohio State has been a consistent road warrior under head coach Urban Meyer, accumulating a 19-0 SU and 13-6 ATS record in its last 19 road games, per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Betting Line / Total: Ohio State -10 / 44 Points

Trend: Ohio State is 4-0 SU and ATS in its last four games against Wisconsin.

Trend: Ohio State is 19-0 SU in its last 19 games on the road.

Under head coach Paul Chryst, Wisconsin has become one of the best defensive teams in the nation. The Badgers finished 2015 ranked No. 1 in scoring defense allowing 13.7 points per game, and currently rank fourth in the nation at 12.2 points per game.

Holding Michigan to just 14 points was extremely impressive, but the offense didn't do its part in a 14-7 road loss. Wisconsin has had a bye week to prepare for Ohio State's high-powered offense and is 4-1 SU and ATS on the season.

Saturday's total is set at 44 points on the college football lines. The UNDER is 5-1 in the last six games between these two teams in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin is 9-1 SU and ATS in its last 10 games coming off a bye week. It's fair to assume that Barrett and the Ohio State offense won't be scoring their average output of 53.2 points per game this week. But in addition to having an excellent offense, Ohio State has also held opposing teams to only 10.8 points per game in 2016.

The Badgers will need to find a way to crack through this defense to have a shot at an upset.
