Louisville is wearing glow-in-the-dark cleats for a noon game

Well, this is better than not glowing in the dark!

In case an alien spaceship is hovering over Louisville and blotting out the sun while you’re looking for Lamar Jackson’s feet on Saturday against NC State, just look for these things:

The game kicks off at noon ET, so the glowiness will probably not be all that evident, but it’s useful as a safety precaution in case the game goes into 15 overtimes and the stadium lights stop working.

The kickoff is actually better than last year’s glow-in-the-dark uniforms event. Texas A&M planned “Light Up the Night” helmets for Halloween, but that game ended up being at 11 a.m. local time.

Noon is technically closer to darkness, at least!

There were also those times Oregon teased glow-in-the-dark uniforms, though the Ducks have yet to make it happen.
